Melbourne - Mix of cultures
Melbourne is a city with wonderful cultural mix. I mean its just so different to German cities. You sitting in the tram near some Afghanistan or African people and just its so normal while in Germany people would sit separated even wouldn't speak any word to each other. I mean that is just one think what I like about Australia – they have such a strong immigration process with include that the people have to understand a basic English. Would be good to introduce a mandatory German language knowledge course in Germany. Anyway Melbourne have a interesting suburb culture. Just go along the streets in Fitzroy or in Brunswick with coffee shops, bars and restaurants. In Melbourne there is always something going on ... 24hours 7 days. I just went to some free concerts, movies and live musics in the pubs. Even if I just spend 1 week in Melbourne it was a lot of going on. St. Kilda Festival or just a private party around the corner – Melbourne never sleeps ;)
