Christmas in beautiful house and New Year Cairns

[mileage: 6210 km] After a lovely Christmas in a Couchsurfing house in the north of Cairns we decided to find some new people with whom we want travel with. The 2 girls from Airlie Beach were really nice but a bit silent, not on our same wavelength. After some messages in the hostels we met 3 German girls from Stuttgart. We “tested” them ;) on a 2 day trip to Cape Tribulation. We also made a daytrip to the Tablelands with waterfalls, lakes and some strange trees. I started the New Year party in the afternoon with a cool swim in the lagoon and listening to the music of the starting festival. After some beers I went back to the hostel for some wine with some other travellers. Later we took the bus back to the city to listen the free concert and looking the quite small firework. After midnight we went to the biggest nightclub and danced there till 7am in the morning. Next day I felt absolutely sick, so I spend the day in bed ;)
