Brisbane and the partys

[mileage: 2931 km] We left Lennox Head to go on north on highway. After 20 km Jens asked “Did you fix the body board on the roof of the car?” I said “No, why?” I stoped the car looked on the roof and … bye bye body board. I hope the car behind us didn’t crashed when a body board was flying into its windscreen ;) Just Jens was throwing the board on the car that we “wont forget it” ;) and didn’t fix it! Whatever I thought we don’t need it anymore because up north the coast you just have little nice stingers, crocodiles and the most poisonous snakes of the world. We stayed one night in Santa Barbara after a short visit in the Australian Version of Las Vegas: Surfers Paradise. In Santa Barbara was a very beautiful camping area with toilets, swimming area, plenty of Barbies and a boiler. Next morning we drove directly to Brisbane and our next host Amy and her family welcomed us and we really liked the family. They had a pool with heating system and a boat for fishing etc. We got the chance to go fishing with the boat and to swim on one of the islands. Another great thing: I was driving a speed boat first time in my life. A lot of fun when you are jumping over the waves with 50 km/h!? Two days we spend to explore the town and one night we tested Brisbane’s nightlife after some Latvian vodka. I can not really remember how we came home ;) but just it was a great party and Amy and her family where really great hosts! We also met a German girl from Berlin who is studying in Brisbane now. Together we made a daytrip to Bribie Island where swimming in the South banks. Plenty of other girls we met in the bar ;) and I really liked the town more than Sydney.
