Broome – Darwin

We settled down on a Caravan Park in Broome and everybody was happy after 2 weeks to get a shower. Actually it took me 3 showers to get all the dirt and dust away from my body. Anyway Broome is a paradise for romanticist with awesome beaches, crystal clear waters and a laid-back town. If you can’t relax in Broome you need a psychologist. After one week I found another lift to Darwin. A girl from Melbourne with a car and a trailer gave me a lift. Again with 5 people we filled up the food and drinks and went on the road again - this time with 2 French’s, 2 German’s and 1 Australian. We travelled the last 2000 km to Darwin. Between Darwin and Broome is the only place in Australia where you really need a 4 wheel drive. There are so many places with unsealed roads for example Bungle, Bungle or Gibbs River Road. I wished I had my Ruediger there… Anyway we travelled along the highway, stopped here and there and reached after 6 days in Lichfield National Park - great Park with heaps of waterfalls (definitely a must do) I found this park much more interesting then Kakadu National Park.
